Vocabulary

Make transcripts consistently match your names, acronyms, and preferred wording.

Settings -> Vocabulary (Expert Mode)

Voiscribd includes two vocabulary tools.

1. Word Replacements

Use this to enforce final wording after transcription.

Controls:

  • Auto-apply replacements to new transcripts toggle
  • add/edit/delete replacements

Replacement format:

  • original text can contain multiple comma-separated variants
  • replacement text can be a full phrase, template, URL, or normalized brand term

Example:

  • original: voice scribe, voiscribe
  • replacement: Voiscribd

2. Correct Spellings

Use this dictionary to improve recognition before replacement logic runs.

  • add single entries or comma-separated entries
  • remove entries individually

Best for names, acronyms, product words, and domain jargon.

When to Use Which

  • use Correct Spellings when the model hears the wrong word
  • use Word Replacements when recognition is close but you need strict normalization
  1. add high-value names/acronyms in Correct Spellings
  2. run real transcription samples
  3. add deterministic cleanups to Word Replacements
  4. retest with same phrases

Common Mistake

If replacements are too broad, they can overwrite valid text in unrelated contexts. Keep replacement keys specific.

Tip

Use Correct Spellings for recognition accuracy, and Word Replacements for deterministic post-processing.
