Always Listen

Settings -> Always Listen Mode

Always Listen is for continuous dictation sessions where you do not want to manually start/stop every sentence.

Choose How Text Is Delivered

• Accumulate in window: dictated chunks are collected in the Always Listen window
• Insert directly at cursor: text is inserted into the active app as it arrives

When to Use Each Mode

• use Accumulate in window when you want review before committing text
• use Insert directly at cursor when speed matters more than review

Highlight Newly Added Text

Highlight newly added text adds a short visual glow on newly appended text.

• available in Accumulate in window mode
• disabled automatically in Insert directly at cursor mode

Recommended Baseline

Start with:

• Accumulate in window
• highlight on
• mute/pause media options configured if you speak while media plays

Then move to direct cursor insertion after your VAD behavior is stable.

Tune Together With

• Toggle Always Listen shortcut
• Mute Always Listen shortcut
• Resume media after Always Listen
• Model Studio settings (Always Listen silence trimming, Auto-stop, Pre-roll)

Common Failure Modes

Text appears in the wrong place

Use Accumulate in window until your target app focus behavior is predictable.

Too many accidental captures

Increase VAD strictness in Model Studio and verify your recording trigger setup.
