What It Is

Open With -> Voiscribd is a Finder action that opens a selected file directly in Transcribe File. It is the fastest path when your recording already exists as a file on disk.

When to Use It

Use this when:

• you already have a local recording in Finder
• you want to skip drag-and-drop
• you want to send one file straight into transcription

How It Works

1. In Finder, right-click a supported audio or video file.
2. Select Open With.
3. Choose Voiscribd.
4. Voiscribd opens Transcribe File and preloads the selected file.
5. Pick model/language options and run transcription.

Why It Helps

• fewer clicks than opening app first
• consistent handoff from Finder to transcription
• useful for repeated post-call workflows

File Support

Open With respects the same supported media types as Transcribe File. If a file cannot be loaded, check format/codec compatibility and retry with a known-supported format.

Troubleshooting

Voiscribd does not appear in Open With

• confirm Voiscribd is installed in /Applications or a stable app location
• relaunch Finder or restart Voiscribd once
• verify the file is a supported media type

File opens but does not transcribe

• confirm the file fully imports in Transcribe File
• switch to a known-good transcription model
• retry with a shorter sample from the same source
