What It Is

Voiscribd's Share Extension lets you send audio or video into Voiscribd from other apps using the macOS Share menu. It is designed for cross-app handoff without manual file browsing.

When to Use It

Use this when:

• your file is currently open in another app
• the app exposes the macOS Share menu
• you want to hand off content to Voiscribd in-place

How It Works

1. In a compatible app, open the Share menu.
2. Select Voiscribd from share targets.
3. The file is passed into Voiscribd.
4. Voiscribd opens Transcribe File with that media.
5. Configure model/language/Spark options and transcribe.

Typical Sources

Common examples include media players, file viewers, and productivity apps that support system Share actions for local media files.

Why It Helps

• avoids exporting/re-locating files just to transcribe
• reduces context switching between apps
• keeps post-processing flow aligned with original source app

Requirements

• the source app must support macOS Share actions for the media
• the selected media must be in a format Transcribe File can import

Troubleshooting

Voiscribd is missing from Share menu

• relaunch the source app and Voiscribd
• check whether the app supports sharing that file type
• verify Voiscribd is installed and accessible to system share targets

Shared file arrives but fails to process

• confirm the media opens in Transcribe File directly
• test with another known-supported file from same app
• retry using Open With -> Voiscribd as fallback
